Why business owners hire me

Strategy is cheap.
Shipping is the moat.

Most AI consultants stop at slideware. I write the integration, deploy it into the tools you already use, train your people, and stay on the hook for the outcome — measured against the metric we picked together on day one.

1 workflow
Shipped at a time
We pick one thing, build it end-to-end, prove it works. Then we pick the next one.
6 weeks
Or less to a working system
Most builds ship in 3–6 weeks. The audit alone is 1–2 weeks and surfaces quick fixes for free.
0 lock-in
No proprietary platform
I build into the tools you already use. When I leave, your team owns it. No license, no rental.
100 %
Refundable audit
If I don't think AI is the right tool for your problem, I'll tell you on the first call and refund the deposit.
Engagements

Three ways
we can work together.

Every engagement starts with a paid audit and ends with something measurable running in your business. No retainers without a deliverable. No “digital transformations” without a real number that moved.

01 · AUDIT

The AI Readiness Audit

One to two weeks inside your business. I shadow your team, look at the tools you already use, and leave you with a short list of fixes ranked by what each one is actually worth — and what isn't worth touching.

  • We map every tool you use and where time disappears
  • A short list of 3–5 fixes ranked by what each is worth
  • Honest answers on which tools to buy, build, or skip
  • A written playbook your team can act on without me
From $1,800
1–2 weeks
02 · BUILD

I build the workflow

I act as your fractional AI engineer. I ship one working system at a time — built into the tools you already use, measured against a number we pick together, and handed off so your team can run it without me.

  • Built into your existing stack (no new platform to learn)
  • Weekly demos so you see progress against a real baseline
  • Written runbook + recorded walkthroughs for your team
  • 30-day post-launch commitment on the metric we picked
$3K–$12K / workflow
3–6 weeks
03 · ADVISE

Fractional AI advisor

Once the first system is in, the work is keeping pace. Monthly working sessions, vendor review, hiring help, and a private channel where your team can sanity-check anything from a pricing email to a software contract.

  • Monthly working session with leadership
  • Quarterly review of your AI tools and what they cost
  • Help negotiating with vendors and picking software
  • Private channel for your team, capped to keep it useful

Smaller engagements

Not ready for a full build?
Start smaller.

Four ways to work together that don’t require a 6-week commitment. Good if you want to test the relationship before scoping a build — or if you just need a senior engineer’s view on a specific decision.

Diagnostic call

$30060 minutes

You’ve got one specific workflow in mind and want a real engineer’s view on whether it’s worth building, what it would cost, and the failure modes you’ll hit. No slides. No pitch.

What you get
  • 60-min working session over Zoom
  • A 1-page written diagnostic, sent within 48 hours
  • Honest answer on build, buy, or skip
  • Credit toward a full audit if you book one inside 30 days
Good forOwners who already know which workflow is the problem.

AI Office Hours

$900/month

A monthly working session for owners who don’t need a build yet but want to keep a senior engineer on speed-dial. Vendor decisions, hiring help, sanity-checking a contract, planning next quarter.

What you get
  • 90-min monthly session with leadership
  • Async Slack/email between sessions (capped to keep it useful)
  • Quarterly review of your AI tool spend
  • Cancel anytime — no minimum term
Good forBusinesses already running 1–2 AI workflows that want a sounding board.

Team workshop

$3,500Half-day on-site or Zoom

A half-day with your leadership team plus the 3–5 people who actually use AI day-to-day. We map your real workflows, identify the 3 worst time sinks, and leave you with a ranked list of what to build first.

What you get
  • Pre-work: 30-min interviews with 3 of your team
  • Half-day workshop (in-person or Zoom)
  • Ranked list of 5–10 workflow candidates with rough costs
  • Written summary your leadership team can act on
Good forTeams that need internal buy-in before committing to a build.

Template packs

$200–$500Same-day delivery

Productized prompt packs and templates for specific workflows. Built from real client engagements, sold as-is. Not custom work — but a good starting point if you want to try before you hire.

What you get
  • Weekly reporting prompt pack (Looker, GA4, Meta) — $200
  • Proposal generator template (Google Docs + prompts) — $300
  • Customer support triage prompt library — $500
  • Includes 30-min Q&A call to walk through setup
Good forDIY operators who just want a great starting point.

The process

From confusion to
compounding wins.

A predictable, week-by-week cadence. You'll know what we're shipping, what it costs, and what number we expect it to move every Monday, without fail.

Week 1–2 · Discover

Figure out what to fix first

I shadow your team, look at the tools you already use, and map every workflow that's eating time or money. We start by understanding your business — not the AI.

Week 3–4 · Prioritize

Pick the one fight

Score every fix by dollar impact, effort, and risk. You leave with a short ranked list — not a wishlist — and an aligned team.

Week 5–8 · Build

Ship something real

One working system, built into the tools you already use, with the metric tracked from day one. Your team trains alongside me so they own it the day I leave.

Ongoing · Compound

Ship the next one

Monthly working session keeps the stack honest, the team sharp, and the next workflow scoped before the last one cools off.

Case study + patterns

The workflows that move a real number.

One live case study below, then four patterns I build often. The first call is about figuring out which one — or which custom variant — fits your business.

What I built
  • Automated multi-channel reporting pipeline — pulls performance data from every client account and writes weekly reports the team only has to review.
  • AI-driven creative variation engine for Meta campaigns — generates new ad copy & image variants from winning concepts, so the team tests more, faster.
  • Internal Slack copilot — media buyers can ask plain-English questions (“What's [client]'s ROAS this week?”) and get answers without opening Looker.
Other patterns I build often
Service business · 5–20 staff
10–20hrs/wk
Typical time reclaimed across support and ops.

Route incoming support tickets and order-status questions through an AI workflow connected to your existing helpdesk. The boring half of the inbox handles itself; your team spends time on the messages that actually need a human.

Works with: Gorgias, Zendesk, Front, Help Scout, Intercom
Professional services · 5–15 staff
2–3×
More proposals out the door per week.

Generate first-draft proposals from a short intake form plus your past wins. Your team edits instead of writing from scratch. Win rate usually goes up too because proposals are sharper, not just faster.

Works with: HubSpot, Pipedrive, Google Docs, PandaDoc
Healthcare admin · 10–30 staff
40–60%
Reduction in data-entry errors.

Pull data off intake forms and faxes, normalize it, and push it into your EHR or practice management software. HIPAA-aware architecture; data stays inside your accounts.

Deployable on: AWS HIPAA, Google Cloud Healthcare API, on-prem
E-commerce / online store · 5–25 staff
Faster customer onboarding to first purchase.

Personalize the post-signup flow based on what a new customer browsed and how they answered two questions. Activation rates climb, which usually shows up as cleaner cohort retention 30 days later.

Works with: Shopify, Klaviyo, Customer.io, Postscript
Law firm · 5–25 attorneys
50%
Faster intake-to-engagement-letter turnaround.

Triage new client intakes against your conflict rules and matter types, draft engagement letters from approved templates, and surface fee/scope estimates from past matters. Paralegal reviews instead of drafting from scratch.

Works with: Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther, NetDocuments
Restaurant group · 3–15 locations
8–12hrs/wk
Time saved across back-office and scheduling.

AI ingests POS data, food cost reports, and labor sheets; auto-builds the weekly P&L narrative per location, flags margin slippage, and drafts the next week’s schedule against historical demand. GM reviews exceptions instead of building from scratch.

Works with: Toast, Square, 7shifts, Restaurant365
Real estate brokerage · 10–50 agents
More qualified showings booked per week.

AI handles inbound lead SMS + email within 60 seconds, qualifies on budget/area/timeline, and books showings directly into agent calendars. Cold leads get a smart nurture sequence based on what they actually searched.

Works with: Follow Up Boss, kvCORE, BoomTown, Sierra Interactive
Contractor / trades · 5–40 staff
2 days→ same-day
Estimate turnaround on residential jobs.

Customer texts photos + a short description. AI drafts a structured estimate using your past jobs as price reference. You review for 10 minutes and send same-day. Win rate climbs on speed-bid jobs because you’re not coming in three days late.

Works with: ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro, QuickBooks

The honest list

Six things I’ll refuse to do.

Most consultants tell you what they’ll do for you. Here’s what I won’t. If any of these feel like dealbreakers, we’re probably not a fit — and that’s fine, it just means we both save a call.

01

I won’t build something I think you should buy.

If there’s a $30/month SaaS that solves your problem 80% as well, I’ll tell you about it and walk away. I’d rather lose a build than waste your money.

02

I won’t lock you into me.

Everything I build lives in tools you already use, in repos you own, with written runbooks and recorded walkthroughs. You can fire me Tuesday and your team runs the system Wednesday. That’s the design.

03

I won’t sell you a retainer with no deliverable.

No "AI transformation roadmaps." No monthly fees for a Slack channel. Every engagement has a written outcome attached — and you can leave when it’s done.

04

I won’t ship something that breaks on Monday.

Every system runs in shadow mode for 1–2 weeks before it touches anything real. Customer-facing AI requires a human approval gate until you tell me it doesn’t. I’d rather ship late than wake you up to "the bot just told a customer X."

05

I won’t replace your team without saying so.

If a workflow can be done by a person at $25/hr more reliably than by AI, I’ll say it on the first call. Most of what I build augments your team, not replaces it. The honest exceptions get framed honestly.

06

I won’t take you on if AI isn’t the right tool.

About 1 in 4 first calls end with me saying "this isn’t an AI problem, this is a hiring problem" or "this is a software problem, not an AI one." I refund the diagnostic if I’m the wrong person for the job.

About

I build before I
tell you to build.

I'm not a McKinsey alum reading about AI on the weekends. I'm an engineer who has been shipping software for a decade and spent the last three going deep on what applied AI can and can't actually do in a working business.

I started this practice because the gap between what AI vendors sell and what small business owners actually need had become a chasm. Most teams don't need a model, they need an honest read on which one or two workflows to fix first, and someone who'll show up on a Tuesday to fix them.

I take a small number of clients per quarter so I can stay close to the work. Every engagement is scoped against a number we pick together — hours saved, revenue unlocked, errors avoided — and reported on weekly until that number moves. Currently working with GhostGrowth, where the first system cut their weekly reporting from 12 hours to about 3.

If I don't think AI is the right tool for your problem, I'll tell you on the first call and refund your deposit. I'd rather lose a client than waste their year.

FAQ

The questions
everyone asks first.

Straight answers to what business owners actually ask on the first call. If yours isn't here, ask it on the call. I'd rather have the conversation than dodge it.

Audits start at $1,800. Build workflows usually run $3K–$12K depending on scope and how many tools we need to integrate. Advisory starts at $900/month and is month-to-month. Typical builds: lead intake + CRM routing ($3K–$5K), support triage or AI copilot setup ($4K–$7K), or quote-to-proposal automation ($8K–$12K). For context: most full-service AI consulting firms charge 5–10× that for similar scope, because they staff partners on top of junior associates. I don't.
Maybe. The honest answer is most businesses have one or two genuinely high-impact use cases and a long list of expensive distractions. The first call exists to figure out which bucket you're in. If AI isn't the right tool for your problem, I'll tell you straight and refund the audit deposit. I'd rather lose the engagement than build you something you don't need.
The audit takes 1–2 weeks and often surfaces three to five quick fixes that I'll do during the audit at no extra charge. A build engagement ships in 3–6 weeks depending on complexity. You'll see weekly progress against a measured baseline from week one — nothing waits until launch day.
No. I deliberately build systems that non-technical owners and teams can run. Part of every engagement is a written runbook, recorded walkthroughs, and a 30-day handoff window where I stay on call while your team takes over. If the system can't be operated without me, I haven't done the job.
Yes. I default to architectures that keep your data in your accounts — your cloud, your database, your vendor contracts. I sign mutual NDAs before any system is touched, and HIPAA-aware setups are available for healthcare and regulated workflows.
Build projects include a 30-day post-launch commitment. If we miss the metric we agreed on at scoping, I keep working on it at no additional fee until we either hit it or jointly agree the goal needs to change. That's why I scope tightly and turn down work that isn't ready. Outcomes still depend on adoption inside your team — I can't operate the system for you.
Big firms staff partners on top of associates on top of analysts, and you pay for all of them. I'm one person who has shipped software for a decade. There's less overhead, less hand-off, and no incentive to stretch the scope. I take a small number of clients per quarter and I'd rather price honestly than play the agency game.
Get started

We'll find the one thing AI can fix in your business.

No pitch deck. No funnel. Just a working session where we look at what you're doing today, where AI realistically fits, and what it would take to ship one workflow in the next 6 weeks. If AI isn't the right tool for your problem, I'll tell you straight.
